The entire team at Loudermilk Homes and our sister companies, Loudermilk Designs and The Loudermilk Group by Roane, is honored to win two prestigious Gold OBIE Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
The annual OBIE Awards recognize the best of the best in luxury home design-build and construction by the top builders in the metro Atlanta area. The awards are chosen by a panel of respected judges and peers in the industry.
Gold Award for The Manor Lot 179
Loudermilk Homes won a Gold OBIE Award for a luxury home that it designed and built at Lot 179 in The Manor Golf & Country Club gated community north of Atlanta.
The award was for the category of custom homes valued between $4 million to $4.9 million, and the home was designed and built by Loudermilk Homes with selection design by Loudermilk Designs.
The home has five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms plus two half bathrooms, a gourmet chef’s kitchen with dual islands, a sunroom, a finished daylight basement with a built-in bar and poker room, a home theater, and an indoor sports court for basketball/racquetball/pickleball
The owner’s suite on the main level has his-and-hers walk-in closets and a spa bathroom with an all-marble shower and soaking tub.
Gold Award for Blue Heron Lot 11
Loudermilk Homes won another Gold OBIE Award for a luxury home it designed and built at Lot 11 at Blue Heron Walk, an ultra private pocket community in Buckhead that’s adjacent to the 30-acre Blue Heron Nature Preserve.
The award was for the category of Best Building Design, Detached for a home value of $1 million or higher, and it’s the first time Loudermilk Homes had nominated a project in that category.
Lot 11 at Blue Heron Walk is a Tudor-inspired custom luxury home with Modern European influences, with 6 en-suite bedrooms with the primary suite upstairs, a guest suite on the main level, a secondary guest bedroom in the basement, plus two half bathrooms.
Loudermilk Homes’ in-house architectural design team created the architectural plans and constructed the home, while design selections were made by the professionals at sister company Loudermilk Designs.
Located in an ultra private pocket community of only 11 homes that’s just minutes from the Buckhead and Midtown business districts, luxury shopping, restaurants, and award-winning schools.
13th OBIE Award for Loudermilk Homes
Since it began nominating homes for OBIE Awards nearly a decade ago, Loudermilk Homes, a custom home builder, has won 13 of the coveted awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.
Our first OBIE Award win was in 2018 for a custom luxury home we designed and built in Buckhead, which has been one of the most popular design inspirations for our clients as they imagine the home of their dreams. You can see our gallery of recently completed homes here.
Loudermilk Homes has also had its work recognized through 11 additional OBIE Awards nominated and won by development, Realtor, marketing, and interior design partners. Those awards include best off-site signage, best website, best flyer/mailer, and best print communications.
We’re also proud that our sister company Loudermilk Designs has won numerous OBIE Awards for projects including Best Kitchen Renovation and Best Basement Renovation.
Outstanding Achievement
Presented each year by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Sales and Marketing Council, the OBIE Awards began in 1980 to recognize outstanding achievement in the home building industry.
Since then, the program has grown to include more than 100 categories across building, remodeling, marketing, and personal achievement. Named after the obelisk shape of the award, the OBIE Awards are one of the most coveted and respected premier awards for the Atlanta home building industry.
